To aleve the fact that I just cannot catch up on bills, or any money transaction for that matter I have decided to go on a full course tear through work. I figure the more I work on work, personal projects and developments, the less I will be spending money, or wasting gas. I am hoping the equation works out. What am I working on? For the most part I am practicing my CSS and web dev skills. I have to credit the peeps at the CSS Vault for the kick in the ass they gave me. I just love their site. It is well designed and gives me plenty of motivation by spotlighting talented CSS artists. Some of the sights in their gallery are just bad ass. I mean, I am new to this whole CSS thing; so when I see the things fellow artists are doing it just fuels my fire. So where will I apply it? At the moment I am working on more websites than I ever have before. At work I have been filling the roll of webmaster among other things. Traditionally I am a Graphic Designer; I have only designed and developed a handfull of websites. However I am discovering how much knowledge about the medium I have picked up over the years. At this current position with TelVue I am finally getting to gather all that knowledge and channel it to develop useable solutions. I am seeing that the years of being a sponge could possibly be paying off. Some of the other sites in the works are this one, and the return of my old site Soulslave.com. Soulslave was a domain I implemented years ago when I wanted to start my own design firm. At the moment I am debating on what I want the site to be. There are a couple of ideas churning around in that noggin of mine.

• First is using the site as an on-line comic/novel. I have always wanted to tackle this idea just never got up the confidence.
Second idea is to use it as a Design e-zine. I currently have surrounded myself with some very talented artists and the like. I think it would be a great opportunity to get us all together and start a little community.

For this site, meaning jbiljr.com, I am implementing a theme switcher to show off the evolution of my CSS skills. Some of the first themes I am working on are sports related. Two in particular are to support two of my three favorite teams, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Flyers. I am going to unveil the Eagles theme during the first Sunday of the season. It is my way to show my support for the team and let them know that I so F’in love them. It will also introduce a new section of the site devoted to Eagles discussion. I am eternally hoping to see people participate. For the Flyers, what can I say but “Thank (insert deity you fear here) that hockey is back! I so missed it. The Flyers theme is also to show my undying support for the best damn hockey team period. I am going to try to develop a schedule so that the themes will initiate during game days. For the Eagles this should be easy, however because there are 87 games in a regular hockey season it may be a little harder. We will see. The main theme of the site will be changing too. I have neglected its design for a while and there are a ton of things I really want to improve. Now after writing this there will be a new Rant section of the site. This will predominantly contain totally uninteresting, incredibly long posts like this one. I hope some of you will join me in the rants and for the ride ahead. So that is the report folks!
